A buddy of mine works over at a Volvo specialty shop and I asked him about installing new O2 sensors and he said that I wouldn't be necessary since the ones I already have are still working fine. I've heard that installing a new O2 sensors would improve the car performance a bit even if there is nothing wrong with the old ones.

how many miles do you have on them?

99 C70 5sp

If they haven't been replaced before, I have 140k. If they have, I'd have to check with the previous owner...he took very good care of the car...but let's just assume he didn't.

I say replace them...Almost guarantee you will see an improvement in mileage. And if you don't see any gain in any way whatsoever at least you have the peace of mind that they are fresh biggrin.gif

True. Once I'm done with the suspension upgrades, I'll look into it.
