blink.gif You mean a whole $100!!! Oooooooooooooh noooooooooooo, that's totally not worth it if you're monitoring how much boost the turbo's pushing and can detect a vacuum leak. I've got a gauge pod here I'd sell him for $30 including shipping, so that's $73 total including a gauge pod monkey.gif

Joseph is right, how will you monitor vacuum leaks and boost leaks? You can sit there and mark the vacuum too, but who really wants to do that...plust, that factory gauge fluctuates wayy too much....don't mark the factory gauge...invest the $75 or a bit more to get an accurate, calibrated gauge...I'm paying a total of $200 for my gauge, TT, and mounting, thanks to Jesse, and for me, that's a friggin deal for the things I can do with it...monitor, cool down, be safe, etc!

Buy a gauge!...and if you don't want to spend money on a pod, then do a ghetto homemade dash mount or something...it's still ten times better than marking up your stock gauge.

Ahhhh Fiddlesticks! I'm not sold. The reason one uses a bike pump and a gauge IS to calibrate the factory gauge. But I agree with moneybags wink.gif ... $73 really isn't too much. I'd do a gauge myself, but setting up that factory one is soooo easy. And no hoses!

you really have no data/numbers/experience at all to back that claim up with. i mean crap, it seems like the cool thing to do here is throw money at a problem till it goes away. Every once in a while a little human ingenuity can replace mass-produced corporate shiny things. But to each his own. If you don't like it go ahead and say so, but don't claim like you know for a fact it's innacurate, it is in fact VERY accurate, learn to separate opinion from quasi-fact and this will be a happier place.

oh i agree the bike pump idea is something im suprised i didnt come up with. It would be real accurate, and less hassle. Its still ghetto tho. like some black steel donuts sporting low profile tires. I like it.
i want more ideas like this. someone figure out how to use the NO2 from a whip cream charger to make a few horse

Can anyone else give me some feedback on this chip? Before I spend what could be a new exhaust on a chip I'd like to hear if people are happy with it. I have a 850 turbo wagon w/ a K&N drop in. Anyone with that little of mods done a chip yet? If so tell me how the car felt after the chip. Thanks for the feedback biggrin.gif

Okay, from my sig you can see I have the ST chip and haven't upgraded the exhaust yet. The chip is extremely noticable. If the car is running high test gass it really pulls hard up till the 4500 range and drops off bc of the restrictive exhaust.

But I don't recomend expecting huge results if you plan to run cheap gas.

So, go for it!!! And get the exhaust when you can.....

I agree 100%, i run 93 octane all the time and my car runs fine. an upgraded exhasut like i said before really opens up the potential. great price for the st chip, they gave me the volvospeed group deal so try mentioning that you are a member. might work might not. 225 installed plus shipping.

And about the CEL lite; none to report. In fact this brings up the point -to be sure the car is well tuned before expecting trouble-free results, especially good plugs.
