How would you go about raising compression on the 5 cylinder motors in both the turbo and non turbo cars?

Oversize pistons... I've never heard any word one way or the other on how much you can shave our heads? Think I've asked a couple of times.

Oversized pistons will not raise the C/R. You can mill the head a tad or you can go with a higher compression piston.

Rob, just the person I wanted. You had made a comment about VMS would be able to make a 300 hp NA 5cyl. That is what made me raise this question. How would you do that other then raising compression?
And to stay on topic, I understand milling the head cause it would cause i smaller combustion chamber, but the pistons come to the top of the block, so how would you get higher compression pistons? Just have smaller more percision valve reliefs so there is more material there? Cause the valve relief now is just like a large cirle dip in the piston not just a cut for each valve. Is there any other way to make a higher compression piston?

Sorry if it sounded like I meant the first or second oversize kind of oversize.
Terry, do you know how much you can mill off of the head without running into valve clearance issues? (cars with turbo and NA pistons will probably be different amounts)
Or maybe what the stock valve clearance is. That should give a decent idea.
