and for the samco hose: i just pushed it over the metal intercooler tube as far as i could. If you have one meter of 60mm Samco ordered you have to put it somewhere.....

would you think that some kind of mesh or scoop obove the turbo would help if you have to stop with the turbo being very hot?
or would rain water become a problem dripping from top then?
i mean the old saab 900 turbo had some slits/ trenches over the turbo if i recall correctly....

Won't bother them. Seems to me that if it's needed, a scoop that would draw air from the hood, down past the turbo and then underneath the car would be a good way to cool things down under there. The last thing you need to worry about is rain. All it may give you is a little more grime under the hood. It won't hurt the turbo in the least.
