Hussein -

Couple questions on why you've one your CAI as you have..........

1. Why run the intake into the side of the basin rather than the end as per the BMC (specific flow objectives or?)?
2. I can see why you went to the upper intake inlet, but did you consider using BOTH the upper and the bumper inlet, or would the gains (if any) be so marginal as to be pointless?

You seem to raise the bar weekly! Thanks for keeping me motivated.

Disregard question 1 - just read through the SAS delete thread again and saw the update on the CAI at the end. You couldn't run straight in the end of the catch basin because it's sealed by the filter itself, so there'd be no attachment point available. Should have known there'd be a simple explanation!

Hi!

From the side because the filter is too large to raise up & use the end as an inlet.

I'm not using the lower inlet because in principle, in warmer weather the temp is higher closer to ground level. I didn't find any difference this time of year. I did keep the two versions so that I can switch if I choose

EDIT: Now that I've already moved the WI soleniod, maybe I'll try combining front & lower intake snorkels :D

Are you going to keep posting the same questions in every project thread or will you eventually understand that you can start your own ?

BTW: answer is yes, yank away. Posted Image

Headlights are ABM projectors, not sure that they have them for your market since your car is not LHD.

Last year it was 14.6 @ 98.98 :(

Hopefully I'll do better this year (without exploding the bevel gear this time  )

Recent mods:

Secondary vapor trap & filter for vent-to -atmosphere (no more return to inlet via PTC) - too stinky & messy for my taste with direct vent :D EDIT - removed - small oil/water traps cause pressure increase!

Oh yeah. Instant pressure dump. Still have to rebuild the turbo, though - it's obviously been stressed since day one with the small BOV, and the way I've been driving it since I got TT didn't help matters.

I don't think your blowoff valve is big enough

So with the current setup the PVC (crankcase breather or whatever you wanna call it) no longer goes into the intake pipe?

Thanks guys! Haven't any updates as of yet - waiting for the TT COP ECU to come back from England...

Gonna finally rebuild the turbo today with the Mellet System thrust bearing kit. I'm confident that it'll be fine from hereon in, with the decent sized BOV.

That's correct, the secondary trap & filter just help minimize oil vapor & therefore oil smell into the cabin. Personally, I hate that.
