Chip Socket Or Not

I am sending my Ecu to oliver on Monday is there any advantage to a chip socket or not. I will probably never upgrade again I need advice by tonight thanks Doug

GO ahead a get it socketed. If you ever want to go back to stock you can. I had mine socketed and I'm glad I did. I was also given back my stock chip. You will as well if you get it socketed. If I sell my car I can always sell the chip seperate if I wanted too. One last thing to consider is down the road Oliver may have an even better download(chip) for your car.
