Just wondering...saw them in Advance Auto Parts today and was wondering if they are worthwhile. I would have searched, but of course you can't search for any 3-character words such as "K&N" or "oil" so...yeah...

helps airflow a bit and makes the car a bit more responsive

Your K&N OILFILTER flows more air? How's it do that?

It's a K&N, it doesn't need to back up claims.

He isn't asking about it backing up its claims. Just because something has a good name doesnt mean jack stuff. By the way he is talking about a replacement oil filter, not air filter hehe
But as for the name, who cares what they say, they can say anything they freakin want to. They can claim 15 hp, but you don't get 15 hp from an air filter, unless you remove he sock from the intake tubing.(ASSuming you have something clogged in there.)

Yeah, I meant OIL filter...but thanks for the useless replies about K&N AIR filters...does anyone have anything worthwhile to say about K&N OIL filters?

haven't looked at the oil filter...does it have the valve on it like OEM mann filters...i would think that as long as it has that little valve on it, it will be just as good as OEM....hope that is useful!

Wow, 550 totally missed that one. Obviously there was a mixup between air filter and oil filter. Someone said that their oil filter flowed more air. Then when 98S70R said "How does it flow more air" I sarcastically replied that since it's K&N, they don't have to back up their wild claims. The humor is drawn from K&Ns claims of 15hp air filter upgrades and such.
Anyways, I hope you get it now, and your sense of humor is that much better off.

I use only OEM. I do know a couple of people that swear by these new spin-flow filters. I don't know if it's a gimmick or what. http://www.automotive.com/news/25/4746/
