I have an uncle that works at AP, and I gave him a call to see how things were looking. He believes that we will know the winner by the morning of November 5, given the way exit polls are looking, but he wouldn't tell me which way they were looking so strong, heh. He just said "well, it looks like half the supposed country is in for a surprise, because these numbers are looking pretty strong for one side, and not so strong for the other. Additionally, it looks like we're going to see the best voter turn-out since '92."
Just thought that might interest y'all. It looks like everyone will have plenty of arguing or gloating tomorrow morning. I just wish the tease would have told me which way things are looking to be skewed, but I have my guess based on his comment on the turn-out... Then again, I don't think anyone can really make a qualified guess on this one. We'll have to see.

I definitely worry Kerry might be getting more stupid votes than he deserves. dry.gif

Haha, given the overall turnout numbers, you have to assume that some people just guessed tongue.gif but that definitely goes both ways. I'm just glad it only took 36hrs to figure things out...

He's such a flake, if it was serious Kerry would have gotten out there.

I was TERRIFIED when I got off the plane and saw the news. "too close to call" "252 to 253" "ohio up in the air". I just thought "oh stuff, here we go again". I'm glad Kerry conceded instead of trying to drag it out into something long and unpleasant. Even if Gore had turned out on top last time around, who would have had any respect for him after all of that crap?

True I guess, though I never liked Bush and to be honest I got much more fed up with Gore through all that. I didn't really have any vested interest though, couldn't bring myself to vote for either of them, heh.
