you need to drive the POS over to west philly and get a full keyless alarm system done. this system will get better range, have a shock sensor, siren and flashes the parking lights. probably cheaper than going to the stealership and dropping $150-200 there and you would still have to get and install the parts.

the alarm itself is cheap, its the install that costs money. Go to a place that has already done your model 10x, otherwise your gonna get a highschool kid doing it and fucking it up. usually places that do lambos and such will do a decent job on your car, these guys wanna research before they attempt stuff when it comes to 200k+ cars.

jack,

it's been awhile since i did a lambo, actually never did one. did two ferrari's last year. 18 2009 Muranos, 9 2009 Sentras, 25+ 2009 Versas, 25+ 2007-2009 Altimas......these were all cars with 5-30 miles on them. biggrin.gif the 2006 porsche cayenne turbo s is only $130k new, and the 2005 ferrari spyder comes in @ $225ish new so when i got them they were all used so still didn't get into the $200k+, damn tongue.gif

in the volvo world i have not done 10 yet nor have i did a 97 NA sad.gif

1994 855 Turbo

Not at 10 yet. man still don't qualify!!! dayum, I am out of highskool though!!! hahahahaha

I can do this for you,

Compustar Pro 1 way SH Alarm System
Up to 1500* feet of Range. This model uses Super Heterodyne AM technology for one of most economical one-way systems in our line up. The 1WSH Pro is proven and reliable to transmit up to 1500 feet. It is a great unit for almost every situation and can be upgraded to any of the other CompuStar Pro remotes in a matter of minutes.

I will add in a FT-RPS II | Remote Paging Sensor - RPS II

"The Remote Paging Sensor Pro is compatible with all Pro 2 Way Alarm and Alarm/Starter units. The RPS contains a blue LED that flashes while the system is armed. The system will also respond to a double knock that pages the 2 Way remote and lets the user know someone is trying to reach them at their vehicle. The RPS Pro also includes a knock unlock feature. You can program a 4 digit knock unlock that can disarm your system without a remote and key."

Also add in a relay so the headlamps to NOT flash on and off when you arm and disarm the system.

$225, thats because i do not meet PyROTech's criteria! if i did price would be $450 hahahahaha, plus i am in "da ghetto" can't charge that much. ahahahahahah

how many benzs? would be interested just to know how you figured out the electronics. and i stand by my claim that if someone is in highschool i dont want them touching my benz to install something like a remote starter or alarm system. B/c if they knew how to do it they wouldnt be working installing car alarms at bobs garage.

will think about it, more then likely if i decide to get one ill bring it over. i am perfectly capable of installing an alarm into any car, the fact is that i am tired and just dont have time to do it because of work.

I've been pondering an alarm install as well.

How ever a few things come to mind,

1. I feel like the S60 is more complex electrically than the 800/S70. (Is this true?)

2. I am afraid of tripping the immobilizer and not being able to turn it off. (Is this real issue?)

3. I obviously need to do more research but pretty much I'm just afraid of fucking my shit up cause alarms to me seem x1000 more complex than a stereo install. (Am I overreacting?)
