ive been having some rough idle when i changed my plugs last week... when driving the engine seems to pull fine no sense of powerloss but when idling in gear or in park it misfires..i'm not getting any misfire codes off the scan gauge thou...i pulled the plugs this morning and they are wet with gas..they are gapped properly .. i used the bosch copper plus ..i know this is going to turn into a "if its not this, then it might be this" adventure..but where should i start.. coilpacks? injectors? is it a matter of using these plugs heat range is off? should i get a set of Volvo plugs ? any help would be appreciated.

Volvo plugs are a must. Are the coils cracked? You can inspect them by pulling down the rubber boots and inspecting for cracks.

i went and threw in some volvo spark plugs....and the coil packs looked fine...but it was still running rough at idle i drove 50 miles home and it seems its starting to smooth out..does it take the ecu that much time to adjust?... excuse all these noob questions fellas....

The ECM does not need that long to adjust. Is the engine light on?

thanks for your input man..
see thats the kicker no CEL whatsoever ...and no hesistation throu the RPM range to redline just this rough idling... i'll turn it on tom morning see how it feels ..like i said i drove the 50 miles home and it seemed to start to smooth out... fuel fouling would be spark not burning all the gas up.. i guess if i'm still having rough idling in the morning i'm looking at coil packs or the fuel system?

Rough idling, do you mean shaking?
If so, I suspect bad engine mounts.

You said in an earlier post that the coils were ok, so I assume they have no cracks under the rubber boots? Are the RPM's surging @ idle?
