the inner joint popped apart, is there a quick fix till i get the new shaft? nothing else was damaged, i got lucky.

I replaced the boot on the outer, and the shaft was held in the CV cage by a circlip. Did you find the one for the outer?
Or did you mean the spline on the end? The splined shaft "pops" into the tranny. I'm guessing that means a spring loaded ball, like on a socket wrench.

the joint close to the tranny not the wheel and not the spindle. i was replacing shocks and the wheel fell to the ground, the boot clamp slipped off and tripod came out of the cage. i managed to get everything back together and used a zip tie to keep the boot on. i havent driven it yet but keeping the old fingers crossed, the whole thing looks rather simple. i wonder how safe it is. should a taken a pic, shoulda coulda woulda, famous last words.

the boot is fine, lost some grease though

just got back from a test run, front end feels awesome. definitely worth the time
