THANKS CAPTAIN ASSHOLE. i was asking and hoping for a laymans answer.. i looked it up also on the google.. and got the most technical answer ever.. it made me sick... its not like i made a thread asking what it was.. i was merely asking the original poster to explain what he was looking for.. in deeper detail..

They are the files that plotters use to cut vinyl such as VS stickers and whatnot.

ugh you guys are idiots. They are linear based graphic files.... Adobe used them a lot for Illustrator, Flash ect.

Think of it as a picture with no set resolution. You can blow it up or shrink it however big/small you want and it won't pixelate.

Just pulled out an old school book:

These mathematical images are each treated as separate objects; they can coexist simultaneously in a picture and be independently manipulated.
