I know the informtion is on here somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I have a transmission out of a '95 and I know the switch either happened in '95 or '96. I'd like an M56H and not the L so I just need to know what came in the '95's.

When Did M56L-->M56H Switch Occur?

Do you know if it`s stamped somewhere on it. I can just have him look at it and tell me then.
it's not stamped...there should be a sticker on there indicating the model...in alot of cases the sticker is gone....only way to tell is opening the trans and looking at the internals.
another thing you can do is get the vin of the car, and see when it was manufactured. it's not going to give you a 100% guarantee, but you may be able to narrow it down.
