I had an accident on the 4th of July. A dumb lady speeding thru a parking lot swerved around me and I ended up T-boning her RAV4. Damage was minor, mostly cosmetic, trashed bumper and pinched hood right above the grill. I however have noticed that sometimes when I park and turn the car off, the brake light will stay on. A quick jiggle will solve the problem, but it's still a problem. Since the accident I've had a lot of weird driving experiences such as a lot of people high beaming me, swerving around me at high rates of speed, cutting me off and brake checking me. About 10+ incidents since the accident, nearly a daily occurrence. I've been attributing the odd driving behaviors due to the last 20 days of triple digit temps and people just being on edge and cranky. I've been very calm through all these and just brushed them off, but made a mental note of all the odd behaviors. I've been keeping my pistol tucked in the door pocket, instead of my glove box for easy access, the last few days because I believe that one of these situations will escalate into physical violence.

Driving home today, my sister following in her car, she told me that my brake lights were coming on during acceleration. Never on for more then a second and only last a few seconds, but always 5 times from light to light. We finally figured out that the lights were coming on every time I clutched in. Can anyone tell me what possibly could have happened during the accident for the brake signal to be triggered by the clutch? I now understand why people have been driving like jackasses around me and I really don't want to end up having to put a gun to someones head over it because I pissed them off while they were having a bad day.

agreed it sounds like you need to reposition it / it might of pop up higher from the acciedent so every time the car adjust in speed the brake pedal is hitting the sensors for the brake light.
