A few members asked to see some pictures of my bi-xenon retrofit once completed.

Ingredients:

E55 Bi-xenon projectors
ZKW-R clear projector Lenses
Matsushita Gen 3 OEM 35w Ballast
Philips 81522+ bulbs
Sharp HID Clear Jewel lenses
E46-R shrouds

Most of the parts are from http://store.theretrofitsource.com/. Their parts, service, and shipping are top notch!

A few exterior shots:

Low beam (~25 ft):

The right projector is a bit crooked and needs to be adjusted, but it does not affect much other than the look of the cutoff.
Posted Image

High beam (~25 ft)
The hotspot in the middle is due to the stock halogen high beams. They add a bit of power to the xenon high beam so I decided to keep them. The high beam is really ridiculous on these projectors.

Colorband from ~15 ft away, it gets much more intense as the the distance increases.

I tried the plastic ones as well, but I accidentally sanded right through one of them while using a drill with a power attachment. Im glad I went with the clear glass ones though.

Got them from http://www.sharphid.com. They are manufactured by Scan-Tech.

Just don't use a drill for your sanding and you'll be fine. The variable speed controller on my drill ended up burning out during the sanding, so only low and high speeds were available. I was on my third time sanding them because I was gradually making the circle larger for more beam width, and I tried to hasten the process.

Im using a drill press and it seems to work pretty well. But I got a little too eager and turned it on a little too fast and it started melting the plastic, which is now harder then the surrounding plastic and has made it a pain to sand.

Yeah the melted plastic was a pain. The euro plate was given to me as a gift by a good friend, so I had to put it somewhere to placate him. Maybe it will "fall off" one day on the highway, as far as hes concerned.

plates that contains only 1 letter (Z, P, and something else) and a lot of number are special plates here.
IIRC, Z means the car is imported and not yet registered. At the end there is a "04" that means 2004, and we can't use a car that long with a Z plate :)

Thanks Kyle! Let me know when you want to stop blinding people with your HIDs in your reflectors :P .

Thanks! Its really in the right shrouds, they E46 ones are much wider and tend to cover up any mistakes.

I got rid of the lowboys and switched to Koni Coilovers with 10" springs, that is as low as the front will go with those springs. Any lower is too much of a pain for a daily driver in my opinion.

Looks good Ben.
I wish someone would make Jewel lenses for X70's, I've read enough threads about defluting glass to question whether I want to do it:)

I would recommend against trying to deflute glass. Not only will it take a LONG time, but you will weaken the glass and risk cracking in case of impact by stones or other road debris. Don't the later model 1st gen C70's come with clear lenses?
