I just wanted to confirm that the S60 does indeed take either Dextron III or Dextron IV as power steering fluid.

In reference to an old thread it was stated that the S80 T6 uses Dextron III or IV but I just wanted to double check.

Can some one confirm or deny this please?

Also is there a big difference between the two fluids?

S80 takes $20 bottles Pentosin. You can use power steering fluid to top-up in a pinch but that's not what it should be full of.

Owner manual says ATF, I would say Dextron III

+1 tryingbe
You can use dexron III, or honestly any atf if you want. No issues running standard, run-of-the mill any-auto-parts-store ATF for PS fluid for 10k miles.

didn't flush, I just lost a lot when a truck hit my passenger fender and when I received it I filled it back up.

Why are you considering flushing the PS fluid? You should never have to change it IIRC

It's a good idea to change it once in a while, especially if the fluid is no longer fresh-looking.
