Let me know if you notice any gain from that exhaust manifold.

Couldn't tell you.

Every time I do a mod to the car its to replace something that's pretty much old and fubar. I cant tell if its faster than a proper stock NA. But it gets faster overall.

if you have the variable length intake manifold like I do then you will definitely notice more torque when the intake switches runners.

No, I've got a '99, none of that variable stuff. Not even VVT. Just a damn ETM. :(

Although the '99-00 NA hose from airbox to TB is much nicer than the -98 one, doesn't collapse on me like the old ones did.

I put it out there, now one wanted it. I trashed it.

I dont have the room to hold on to stuff anymore.

Side note*

The one piece exhaust manifold gasket that comes with the header is garbage. I already have an exhaust leak.

As you may know, last week i put in one of these:

Posted Image

Great Quality but

Gaskets are garbage, DP Studs are low grade an stripped easily, manifold nuts were the wrong size.

After driving for an entire week today I replace the garbage OEM Gaskets and Grade 8.8 hardware.

Now its purtdy!

Car pulls very strong for a NA, wish I had another 500 rpm.

Very purdy. I want one even more now... wonder how hard changing the rev limiter would be.

I dunno. Just about as hard as getting your ecu retuned I suppose.

I'm making some changes to the exhaust again. But sounds pretty decent at the moment.

Its loud enough. I haven't found the exact exhaust note I want yet.

I'll get another vid clip up, but it sounds completely different under load.

Ya, you'd have to be setup to reflash the ECUs, but just raising the rev limit should be much easier than a full retune. I threw in a set of Denso PQ20TTs and have been fairly pleased with them.

First full daily drive today.

Exhaust note is much better, but still very loud. The power band has shifted up, but there is also more power overall.

Interesting thing I noticed. The VVIS previously switched at about 4200 RPM. Now its much closer to 5000 RPM and still pulling at the autos shift point.

The current configuration on the car as of 02-11-12 is as follows:

Stainless Steel Mandrel Bent Header
2.5" Exhaust Piping
2.5" Dynomax Race Bullet
2.5" Dynomax Super Turbo

In conjunction with a Cone Filter/Silicone Elbow, Bosch +4, Kingsbourne Wires, and 4ga grounds.

Is it more powerful than a stock NA in good shape? I dunno.

But it's louder.

That's a bummer. Got one in my wag and I love it. My friends and I used it to go to up North for skiing. My friend who sat in the back said people kept point and smiling at him so he'd just wave back at them. lol
