Do you even understand the basic concept of modifying a vehicle? Even ricer's don't get the intake part wrong...I feel bad for the ricers to lump you into their group. You clearly have no understanding on how an intake system works, otherwise you would have done what you did.

Who the fuck is going to see your "cool" exhuast tip? all they see is a tip pointed down and the stupidest angle you could have conceived. When you look around this forum and see the types of cars and how they are modded here, even the few S80's owners, do you for a second see anything that resembles your retardation? It can't be that hard to understand all the things you are doing wrong can it?

jesus...

Mental retardation
from wiki...

Mental retardation is a generalized disorder, characterized by sub average cognitive functioning and deficits in two or more adaptive behaviors with onset before the age of 18. Once focused almost entirely on cognition, the definition now includes both a component relating to mental functioning and one relating to individuals' functional skills in their environment

we really shouldnt be this harsh... here are some other terms to try....

The term "mental retardation" is a diagnostic term designed to capture and standardize a group of disconnected categories of mental functioning such as "idiot", "imbecile", and "moron" derived from early IQ tests, which acquired pejorative connotations in popular discourse over time. The term "mental retardation" has itself now acquired some pejorative and shameful connotations over the last few decades due to the use of "retarded" as an insult. This may in turn have contributed to its replacement with expressions such as "mentally challenged" or "intellectual disability". While "developmental disability" may be considered to subsume other disorders (see below), "developmental disability" or "developmental delay" (for children under age 18), are generally considered more acceptable terms than "mental retardation" among members of the disability community

signs include...

Delays in oral language development
Deficits in memory skills
Difficulty learning social rules
Difficulty with problem solving skills
Delays in the development of adaptive behaviors such as self-help or self-care skills
Lack of social inhibitors

first off, the cone part of the filter is pointed toward the motor where all the heat is and performance 101 tells us that hot air being sucked into the intake will more then likely decrease performance and power. second off you need a heat shield and you need to remove the stock housing and put the filter after the maf. i know how impulse buys are, we've all probably done it ( thats why i have so many parts i dont want lying around..) but you need to think and install it somewhat right to play it off..

Alright, thanks for the advice. Can't believe I didn't think of that.

And as a general reply to everyone else- You have to understand that I don't know/care very much about your taboos and traditions, so just saying OMG LOLOLOL doesn't help anything. I also saw this when another member posted up pics. He had a spoiler on his car and the first responses were just flaming. If you don't like it then say why you don't like it instead of harassing. So what if I didn't set up the air filter exactly right? Atleast I took the old one out and have been getting ideas on how to improve how it's set up. So what if I put an exhaust tip on? It's not the end of the world, it's just a little poking exhaust tip, who cares? I respect you guys, but I think your zealotry sometimes gets in the way of constructive discussion.

Give in already. I hate to tell you, but the VS Zealots aren't going to stop bashing you until the exhaust tip and the filter end up in the dumpster :P

BTW, that blue coloured ducting is causing a ton of turbulence in your intake pipe, which is probably decreasing your performance.

ummm you have a stock box w/o a filter and BEFORE the box a cone filter.
Seriously, pls tell me you're just joking.

so the hand-brake override worked? I never had a chance to check.

I highly recommend you go to your nearest Honda dealer and submit the s80 for the CARS "Cash for Clunkers" Program.

Put that poor thing out of it's misery.

1. That tip is terrible... PepBoys Special is no excuse for an exhaust.
2. How the hell does that intake even function?
3. Why didn't you take out the stock airbox?
4. NA FTL.

This is actually just as bad as the guido I saw walk out of PepBoys with a fake CF hood scoop, and then un-package it and start to test fit it on the hood of his car, then he pulled the sticky tape off and put it on a MINT 96 Golf. It's too bad shit like this has to happen...

IF THE MODS YOU'RE DOING TO YOUR CAR CAN BE DONE IN THE PARKING LOT OF PEP BOYS, YOU'RE A RICER!

Yea, that's what I've been thinking. There's just no road around here where I think I can safely go over 120. The road I used to max it at 120 was great, but not long enough, and the roads that are long enough aren't in good enough condition or there's too much traffic.

It functions a ton better than the stock system, that's for sure. Haven't had the time to take out the box yet. Hopefully I'll get that done today.

Hah yeah. I got my first car when I was 18. It was a nice MkIII Golf. I really wanted to mod it but had no money for anything SO I KEPT IT STOCK. Stock>>>>>> Pepboys mods.

OP, I'm gonna get a little serious here. That tip really does look horrible. Why couldn't you have just gotten a normal looking tip from Pepboys instead of this whack lookin' tip with a bajillion holes?... and do you seriously think that your homemade CAI is doing anything? That "upgrade in performance" is all in your head. You know, the placebo effect.

Seriously, you have a nice car... don't eff it up with these tacky ghetto things.
