Stick with halogen or install projectors
If you insist on getting HIDs, knowing full well that they will cause poor light dispersion, blind other drivers, and break the law...

6000k hid is 3 times brighter than regular lights, and light up more area...NGB I have no idea where you get your info but 50% of what youve said is wrong.
EDIT : 5000k require ballast but still dont really achieve what 6000+ doez

You are 100% retarded. Everything you just posted is not only dumb, but its also wrong.5000 isnt a real HID....its a mock HID, no ballast is needed...6000+ is where real HID starts..

IMO, 5000k will look/perform the best with those lights.

Edit: those figures are not exact, everyone posts different info. But as you can see, 4300k is the brightest, which is why every OEM HID manufacturer uses 4300k bulbs. When you increase the bulb temperature (Kelvin) after 4300k, you are just losing lumens.

Lumens=usable light output.

You are exactly correct and Mr. 850Longbeach is absolutely incorrect.

Thanks Mike. I love the white color of HID 4300k but it truly does seem to provide a little less distance that the silverstars I had before them. The white is so much easier on the eyes and strain when doing alot of night driving IMO.
I'm thinking about trying the silverstars one more time before I go HID on the new Jewels just so I can say I tried. Not 100% sure though since I realy like the white. Are the 6k that much nicer than the 4300k Mike?

I have 5000K w/ 3000K fogs....I had 6000k and like the white in the 5K better. They work great with the jewels and I'm not sure who got the idea HIDs and jewels don't mix.......if you put jewel lenses on regular housings....no that sucks for everyone on the road.

by the way, I'm getting the jewel entire headlight assemblies from Waltrip for $250 per side including the corners.....also changing to the eggcrate 2003 grill while I'm at it. woohoo.

That is not bad! When did they lower their prices? When I asked sometime last year, they went for around $700 for everything.
