Ya it wasn't all that bad actually its was just like the sound of hitting a pothole. But ya going through all this again sucks, but hell getting good at it, i can pull a motor in an hour now lmao... No, trying to find a replacement is a pita.

Or just not have used a 1993 m56L with 290K, up against 17psi?

Sucks! How did it happen ? Full boost, full speed ? Or were you launching the car ? I could see it happen during a bad launch.

Good luck on the replacement, I've had good luck with LKQ, www.lkqcorp.com. They have good warranties on their stuff, my trans was only about $325 with them a few years ago.

I am also a fan of LKQ got my M56h from them for $350 had 88k on it. Best part was they sent it to their closest depot in Columbus from Wisconsin so no shipping costs.

Nope, a 3k rpm shift into 3rd......must say though it was always tough getting in 3rd, figured it was just the syncros
and also reverse always grinded.

Actually should of known something was up with the diff, when we put it back together the second time the axles would not lock in, and the reciever(?) for the splines in the diff moved.

Hahahaha, talk about weathered! Yeah, bummer but at least it went out in style.

Shame about the clutch, it would have been nice to avoid that expense again.

meh, $180 no big deal, but still....another 500miles without being able to push the car meh....
