I'm intrigued, but i'm already feeling that the rear of the wagon is "cluttered". Anyone with ps skills want to help visualize?

There are no taillights on the sides of the license plate indentation to hold the CF panel in place like the 850's.

It would be a panel to drop in behind the liscence plate.

Bust out a front lip with some canards and top it off with a rear spoiler, that would look sick.

true, but neither do S70's and they exist for them, it would be all in the same theory.

Yes but you remove the trunk trim panel and that holds it in w/ some adhesive. I guess it could b just stick-on but I don't think that would look very clean maybe a little cheap.

It almost looks like the s70 trunk is the same as the 850 tailgate... I've always wondered if the latches were swapable.

Mines from a x70, they are interchangeable and are color coded to match.

Lookin' good, pics of it when your all done, very interested to see how you make out.

I think a sheet of CF and some double sided tape(not body tape but like scotch tape)along the edges would be fine. the liscence plate braket would hold it in place pretty well.

We use 3M adhesive on all our CF Trunk Trims, strong enough to keep the corners down without issue.

I'd make it a little bigger so they fill out the indentation.

To ensure consistent quality and shape you really need to make a jig...

i am going to make it fill out and then transfer it over to a peace of aluminum if i am to make these

left it alittle short to flirt with idea of putting a bead of silicone around it to get rid of the edge

I'd say Nick's probably right on the money, fill it out to the indentation, most people probably won't be comfortable using silicone if you were to mass produce them. If it's for your whip only and you don't mind the silicone have at it. Either way i'm excited to see how it turns out, I always wondered why the wagon's never got the love the sedan's got after all WAGON'S>SEDAN'S.LOL

crap. now i gotta find the one 70 series in 418 red. I don't think they used that color again till the xc90s...

What about the lock cores? Same issue as the driver's handle?

Nope, mine retained the stock lock, it's just a cover.
