use advanced search, look in cosmetic for "LED dash" and choose relevance in the drop down.

or search through my old posts

My old post seems gone... oh well

You'll need 4x 194 LED bulbs for the cluster, www.autolumination.com sells them and the leds for the switches as well. It's really easy, pop switch and swap bulb. Cluster takes good leds to light it well. The switches and cluster have a blue tint you cannot remove, so that will affect final light output. If you're good with a soldering iron you can save some $$ and use 3mm leds or get some off ebay/ Switches have + at the top bulb contact, except for the headlight switch (i think). Cluster in 850 was + up for the center bulbs before twisting, and + down for the outer two before twisting. It's been a bit, so test before you screw it all back together. No use in replacing the turns and idicator lights really, but they're the 1-3/4 base mini wedges i think. Info computer does not like leds, but colored bulbs seem to come out ok. same 1-3/4 mini wedge size.

just to piggy back, turn signals, info cluster, mileage display and warning lights use the same type of LED, T5 type LED's. i replaced those. i put white LED's in the turns, the greens brightened up a little more, gave it a little bit of a crisper look. all warning lights except for high beams are now red. hi beam indicator is a white LED, so the light is very blue now. the rest of the dash is red, including the radio and climate control, all switches and gear selector. next up is ambient lighting.

Nice, i didnt replace the cluster indicators (ran out of leds hehe). As far as the ambient ight, I found that using a drop of (real) hot glue and postioning a directional led worked best; the standard positions seemed to shine right in my eyes, and Ba9s LED bulbs aren't overly cheap or directional.

I'm kind of getting tired of the whiteishblue dash, i need to decide on a new color till color kinetics puts out some 194 adressable leds :P

The ECC sucks to light, the distance between bulb and display is really short. Everyone has kinda done their own thing there, save it for last when you've a bit more experience.

Till the end of 99 i believe they are, tho cluster removal is vastly different. the grey 70 series switches are virtually identical to thr black 850 switches.

except that the black switches don't get all gummed up like the gray ones :arob:

where did you put them? and what color? switches are relatively the same, but the dash is kinda different. they take different bulbs i'm pretty sure. there are tons of write ups.

someone on here had the good idea of putting LED strips in the ECC and soldering/connecting it to one of the light terminals. apparently it turned out really well. i just dont know what kind of strip it was, cause the ones i see on ebay are wayyyy too big to fit inside the ECC and radio

That was me. It does take a bit of cramming in, but a 48 light LED flex strip fits. They are 2 for 5$, free delivery on eBay last time I looked. How can you NOT try it at that price?

I have a white strip under each front seat as well, hooked up to the footwell light. Zip ties hold them in place.

For the ECC, hot glue is your friend. Just get the layout of the strip all figured out before you start glueing it in. Trim the square edges as needed here and there to get into tight spots and around sharp corners. It's not hard at all. And the results are excellent.

these three types of bulbs will be your friend. measure the base of the original bulbs in MM, and see whether it's 8mm 10mm or 12mm, and buy that shit up for all your switches

LIGHT! MWAHAHA finally better than the dim shit that i've had for months now... looks much better than before
