But chip a T5 and you will smash on a GLT with T5 parts anyday. And T5 then have a much higher ceiling to go from there with an exhaust, intercooler, etc..., where you will be at the limits of the GLT with just T5 parts.
This. Mine went like stink with the IPD tune, 16t and bolt on's on my Stock R. Managed to get it down to 15.2 in teh 1/4 which I didn't think was too bad.

I adamantly disagree. I had a 97 GLT with a 16T and it was the quickest 15G/16T 850 I have ever had. That car would flat move out. As you can tell by my sig I have had a few 850's so I have tried them all except N/A.

1998 s70 t5- auto :(, Stage 0, kw var 3, Ipd short ram, N/A TB from Snabb, FMIC 29x9x3, OBX exhaust, 18" Ipd pegs flat black, black projectors, aux tranny cooler.
