What's the secret to removing the seatback sections of the rear seat? I pulled the little slide clip on each side, but nothing moves no matter how much I pry on it, and I don't see any obvious release button or anything. I really don't want to break out the universal fixer (big hammer) as my intent is to keep these.

Thanks

welcome to hell, i cant remember what side comes out first but get a big pry bar and pry inbetween the aluminum peice and the seat on the outside part of the seat, that side should pop up and out and then the inside part of the seat should slide right off that bar. confusing i know but i cant explain it any better. just pry like hell.

It prys straight up. You'll also need to lift the seat a little bit sideways, because the pivot point for both seats is in the center.
