For sale:

Well cared for '98 S70 T5 Special Edition. 117,xxx miles. Garage kept.

Upgrades include:

Universal hose techniques kit
Samco kit
RICA tuning chip
Eurosport stainless cat back sport exhaust
IPD Anti-sway bars
17" Comet wheels in anthracite

The Good:

The interior is in great shape. Leather is in very good condition. The SE version came with very nice seats. Soft leather with tasteful suede inserts.
The paint is in good shape overall as well (it's garaged parked). It does have normal chips and dings.
The car runs perfectly and is fun to drive.


Not Good:

The front bumper is in poor shape (see the pics).
The 3 disc cd changer doesn't work (radio is fine and tape is fine)


This has been a fantastic car for me that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I like it's darker colored badging and other the subtle other "extras" that I assume were part of the original SE package. Gives the car a little more class and personality.

I'm just ready to move onto something else (I mostly ride motorcycles, so the car wasn't being driven much in the past year).

I'd consider trades for something else in the $12,000 - $25,000 value range (my car plus cash of course). I'm not ready to part it out it yet.

@Jason R: great price, well thought of specifications and super value for low mileage specimen.

Top of the line, you may want to let others know the car was high $3X,XXX new. For a 2nd car, a beater, a college car or for a daughter/son school car, the Swedish made S70 cannot be beat at that price or anything double the price. Good luck, mine is coming on the market very soon with just a few thousand more miles and garage kept in the SF East Bay Area 92510. I am going to offer my '98 S70 T5 automatic at $4,XXX as well, (yours should get more being an SE with the suede inserts - not sure about the other mods but again, your ride is well dialed). I have been stopped on a number of occasions by common people at the Techron station and in parking lots at strip malls inquiring about the Volvo. Some have thought it was a new model and others just plain appreciate enthusiast Volvo owners who exude pride of ownership. Recent quotes: "sexy car!" and from a Volvo 240 owner, "dude, that looks dope with the pegs."

Car sold today for $4k on Craigslist. They got a good deal, I'm already having a little seller's remorse.
