How much would this set up cost retail?
And is your car tuned?

More than new rods, pistons, and the machine work to go with it.

Set up looks good. At least its direct port. I would install a WOT switch though especially the way those jets are placed.

I just got finished installing a NOS Pro Shot fogger system to the wagon. Haven't had a chance to make any runs with it to see if my times changed. I am waiting on the correct jets from NOS, but I just had to post this. It came off a 454 2 stage 500hp setup.

this came off a 454 nova, the kit was originally bought in 96 for $950 plus all the plumbing.
I got it from a guy at work for nothing. hes old, not ever gonna use it, and wants to see it work. I personally dont have the fundage to buy this crap
Im guessing this would be about a 1200 setup

If buy "tuned" you mean the ecm, I am running a 97 850R ecm Motronic 4.3

Like they'd know :D

max 315 HP at 4500rpm maybe. At 6k you can make a hell of a lot more :D Torque is the destructive factor.

This was the first Volvo with Nitrous we did in 1996

565 Chevy BB, Alcohol fed, 3 stage NOS pro shot, stock suspension-brakes-wheelbase-wheel openings, 1271 blower, MT drag slick 16x33, ford 9-inch, etc...

Last run in 1998 - 5.89 ET @ 124.67 MPH. Due to the stock wheelbase it is extremely hard to hold straight, making it harder to stay in it full throttle.

Placed and won in several events most impressive is the Huntsville Super Chevy show - Best in show 2nd place, Best design and engineering 1st place, Beast Conversion 1st place, Don Garlits saying "Damn Nice Car".

This car is not a trailer queen it does get driven to most shows, making it truly Show and GO!

I just thought everyone would enjoy seeing a Really cool Volvo, I know I do.

The front air dam is missing due to a wheelstand gone bad. The paint was all done on a dirt floor not in a booth, and the pinstripe is hand painted by a 90 year old man with a wagon full of paint.

They don't do well with torque at the shift point. The stock TD04HL choke-up-top and boost-fade-o-rama setups that everybody runs are actually really really good for the life of the transmissions.

When I first installed a bigger turbo on one of these cars, my first 850, a black wagon... I'd been running 18-20 psi on a 15G that would fade to about 15 psi for over a year. Within the second month of having the bigger turbo at 20 psi (holding to redline), my shift points went up 600-700 RPM, and before the engine spun a rod bearing the car would shudder going into reverse. I wasn't making 50% more power or anything, I was just making torque at redline instead of none.

Here is some video from the track this w/e
This is the first run 10 PSI, no n2o
1/8 mile - ET 9.808, MPH 72.72
Posted Image

This is the 2nd run 10 PSI, 50 shot
1/8 mile - ET 9.322 MPH 79.10
Posted Image

After this run I got a misfire, I had "E3" plugs in. I put the NGK back in and had no more problems. The E3 plugs were a suggestion from a jackass I work with, they SUCK.
The nitrous isnt really working right, lots more tuning and playing to do. I think our jetting is too big on the fuel side and not enough on the n2o side. Basically Im getting too much fuel and not enough n2o.
Everything went well today nothing bent, broken, or busted. I am a little disappointed the times didnt get a whole lot better, but still a good day. :D

We did try something new, we put a switch in to control the cooling fan. Between runs I turned on the fan and was able to cool down easier. This also works really good in those long lines in the staging lane. Probably been done before but Im just throwing it out there.

Pretty quick for awd man, nice work. Once you open up the exhaust a bit more with a downpipe you should gain another 1 or 2 mph I'm guessing.

It launches at ~11 and fades to ~9, gotta love a 13g. The nitrous doesnt seem to have any effect on the boost. It fades like that no matter what i do. :(
