Is their any benefit of doing the FMIC the way you did rather then putting a rectangular one behind the lower bumper? looks great btw

well with the 99+ cars there is no way to get a pipe down to the front passenger side for piping. Plus this way I could fit a bigger core than most use with the bumper fmic's and the piping is much shorter.

I do not suggest to any one to take this on the way I did it, there is a lot of fabrication work and removing through the use of cutting tools hah.

Very cool! It's nice to see someone actually cutting stuff up and doing fabricating rather than just bolt-on stuff. Always fun to see an original idea come to life.

loving the install, much better flow through the piping with this short route than with a lower intercooler with more bends to route the piping. good stuff.

I like to fabricate parts as long as it isn't hurting any thing, but I do want it to look clean so like I said its still a work in progress but I think it doesn't look to bad (need to get a cover for that hole in the head light shroud). I need an XC grill though so I can look cool in peoples rear view mirrors :P

Thanks for the comments all :)

That looks like such an efficient FMIC setup; almost makes me think twice about mounting a unit low in the bumper :P
