Another Exhaust Question

Now my question. Would I notice any gain besides sound in going to a 3" turbo-back straight pipe exhaust? Will increasing the diameter by .75" make a noticable performance difference?
I know people have a decent increase in going from stock to the 3" downpipe & 2.5" exhaust, but the only restriction I currently have might be the diameter.

I've got a 3" straight-through turboback system on the S70, with a GT3582R. It flows nicely. I had the 3" system with the 18T, and noticed a gain, but nothing HUGE over just the de-cat. (other than bending a rod on a boost spike :| )

I have a 15G on it with the angle exhaust housing. I probably won't be going any larger than a 18T, or maybe a S60R turbo if i'm feely crazy. I don't want to kill the internals on my daily LPT.
