I have a 1996 volvo 850 non turbo, I left it sitting for about 6 weeks when I was out of town. Came back and a rodent had chewed through my wiring harness. rewired the car and got it running, but i had the orange flashing arrow on the dash. Tried to drive it but it was stuck in winter mode. I heard that the pnp switch will sometimes act up in cold weather, so I replaced that, But the problem is still there. I had someone look for codes, and po745 came up which is the pressure control solenoid. So I'm wondering if that could be the problem, I do have a odbII computer and when i plug it in and erase everything, the light will go off for about 5 to 10 seconds, and the car will drive fine but it'll start flashing and then go into winter mode. I never had a problem before this so I'm pretty stumped, any help would be great , Thanks

I'm thinking by winter mode your stuck in 3rd? Think its going into limp mode is the issue...maybe not?

The wiring to the PCS i would definitely look into since it gave that code...the rat mighta blown it up or something lol...

Rodents have an affliction for causing electrical problems. Where was the harness chewed? If the arrow and code were not there before the rodent damage, I have to think it's likely the problem is rodent related, double check the wiring.

This might help you out in your wiring. I would double check all that wiring. Gotta love them rodents! Let em swim in anti-freeze!!!
