As some of you know, my volvo has had a bit of a electrical issue, it was beyond my electrical skills so i decided to bring it to the dealer and let the "Pro's" handle the electrical diagnosis of my No spark issue...
i called up the dealer prior to loading my car on a dolly, and taking a ride. I bring the car to the dealer last night (on Mason avenue in Daytona), leave it over night as the service manager has asked of me to do. i show up this morning to discus the issue of the said vehicle, the manager has not yet had the chance to come and look at the car so he went out with me, he tells me in this sluggish manner to pop the hood, so i do as he has asked. as i explain to him that i have no spark and one plug has been taken out of the 5th cylinder still plugged in to the wire to check for spark, he says to me, "No i cant take this car, I cant work on other peoples mistakes and their half ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD'ed attempts to fix their cars, i dont want your business,im a service manager here, and i am also a partial owner of this family business and you are going to have to take your car elsewhere, get it off my parking lot" all the time he was saying this he had this smirk and belittling smile.
i understand that some places may not like to work with cars that had exposed wires everywhere, and not knowing where to start, but i only had a missing spark plug and a terminal disconnected off the battery. there was no excuse for that kind of tone.
needless to say i was content with the 105$ per hour charge for service, but after dealing with this A-hole (excuse my lack of a better word) this is not a place i would ever want any of my vehicles even looked at knowing that their customer service rapport building is so poor. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

Down the road a bit towards Nova there is another Volvo specialist. They might be a little more willing to work on the car. Ive never had service done at that dealer but I have bought a few parts from them and they seemed nice in doing that much. I can understand their issue with not working on other's mistakes. If they take the car in and there are more problems down the road, its on their ass now. Its a bad situation for both parties. Its a rather douche move if you ask me.

Ouch my friend... You got rickrolled by a dealer.
Should have tried the Ocala or even Winter Park dealership. They are usually pretty cool, I call up the WP one for part prices all that time, and the Ocala one if I need some help with something, either stuck on an install and dont know next step or just general info like a radio code.
I tried Daytona, but they thought I stole my own radio... I was like MAN are you kidding me!
I believe the WP one will SCREW YOU OVER WITH A RUBBER CHICKEN!!! but the ocala one is good. like 80 an hour. WP wanted 800 just for the bumper, then referred me over to a paint shop next door to get it painted at a discount... *600* so 1400 later I would have a new bumper when I can buy an black oem from a shop for 300, and install myself. or a black one off a salvage yard for about 100.
Once they get a black volvo 854 in, that is. haha

They do not take Credit Cards; Cash or Personal Check Only!
They do not offer night-owl drop off (due to the neighborhood), but you can leave it curbside (but I would advise against it).
Their phone rings off the hook if you call during after hours, no answering machine.
Despite these things, their Parts room is Excellent. They offer next-day on many items and also know part numbers off the top of their heads. Very Pre-Ford Dealership. I haven't had any issues myself with their service.
After reading your story, I agree. Sorry to hear you had such trouble. I've had dealers take on much worse work than that before (Palisades Volvo). But then again this is a very small dealership we are talking about and they might not have the resources like those of bigger size.
