If this is strictly track use, ditch the alternator, and use a marine battery for running, and keep a charged car batter for cranking?

I see you still have the tow hook. remove that ASAP for more weight savings!

good point sir, i'll get the socket set out & get them binned :)

If this is strictly track use, ditch the alternator, and use a marine battery for running, and keep a charged car batter for cranking?

i'm hoping it will be road legal as well, but the alternator & bracket does come off with 3 bolts so still an option

brakes on the agenda too eventually? :P

^Like every UK build ive seen, those guys always manage to whip up a 6 Pot AP BBK outta nowhere!

because of the weight lose even the 302's will be effective than normal, but i have got an idea i'm experimenting with ;)

hey mr fandango - you're doing quite a lot of work to your car there but not the cleaning up part =P. I would at least brush those rust away and paint over them. Keep everything nice and clean.

priority is just to get her finished & back on the road at the minute, i mess around & re-do everything too often to make it look nice & tidy first time around. Once i know it works then i'll spend some time on the appearance

still not finished i'm afraid, but getting very close now. Ride height is finally how i want it, although i've still got some modification to do to get some more suspension travel. Just got to wire the idle control valve & connect the rear brake line then i think she's ready for an MOT, she moves & stops (just) under her own power now

Still to cool for an aftermarket front mount? ^_^

i'd like to see this thing running already. do you experience any rain leaking into the car with your deductions in body seals?

Have you measured how many gallons that cooling system takes? This thing is crazy. In a good way.

Nice work, gotta clean that bay though.

Are you concerned with water getting in the intake at all?

she's been sat on the drive for 4 years, looking nice & shiny is the least of my concerns at the minute lol

i am looking at a replacement intercooler. As for the rain yeh the footwells do fill up with water, alot comes in via the venting in the boot. Hopefully shouldn't be long before she's on the road

no, i just know its too much water lol, i will clean it up but getting the work done is a bit more important. I've got a bung i normally keep in the wing vent

Sorry for my ignorance, but is that a custom intake in the fender or is that available somewhere?
