These phones will work on other networks besides verizon such as AT&T and others. You just need an unlock code which you can usually get for free, and if not, it costs ~$20 or less. The storms will also work globally.

The desktop manager software can be downloaded for free from the blackberry website. There are no scratches on the phone, and it functions 100%. Upon closer inspection of the phone I noticed the TINIEST imperfections on the top bezel where the earpiece is. These are just a few hairline, very very light scratches, which are very difficult to see. I am extremely anal with my phones, which is why I noticed this. The piece costs $7 and it snaps right in. To someone who isn't completely anal, the marks will make no difference. They were extremely difficult to photograph, in fact, I couldn't even get them to show up in pics (I tried though). Other than what I mentioned, the phone is mint.
