I just finished installing these. I still have to finish converting all of my switches from green to red, just waiting on the rest of the LEDs to arrive. I removed all of the stock paint from the needles so they are a bright blue at night and white during the day. The rpm needle changes color as it nears redline.

On to the pics:

For the turn signals I had to remove the stock plastic green peice, otherwise it wasn't showing red.

The needles are really easy to remove the paint once it is out. Take off the plastic cover, then use acetone(nailpolish remover) and qtips. It shouldn't take more than 10-20 minutes depending.

the clock area is weird b/c i just directly put LEDs in it, so there are a large amount of hotspots there. I assume that is what you are talking about?

I used ebay for all of the LEDs.

4 - 194 for the gauges
5 - 74 for the turn signals and instrument & odometer

links:

The LEDs might not light up the first time, in which case they need to be rotated 180.

I am planning to do this pretty soon, I love the red. It looks like it will be around $60-$70 with all the bulbs to do it right. Each speedo bulb is like $8.

Just make sure whatever bulbs you buy have heat sinks on them...The lights in the cluster are constant on and in a confined space you'll get alot of heat...I need to finish up my green swap.
