I've been living with it, but it's getting annoying. My old S70's pedal was much easier to push, is there any way to relieve some of the pressure on the throttle body spring? When I detached the throttle cable the pedal was really easy to push so I think it's just that the spring on the throttle body is really tight, seems much tighter than necessary to close the throttle body.

Make sure the throttle linkages all glide smoothly and its not just a seized bearing in there. Take the throttle body cover off and turn it the linkage with your hand and see if it feels rough or not; might just need some lube. Also might want to make sure gunk didnt somehow get in the cable housing.

I've got the same car. You might need to replace the throttle cable. They do corrode with age up here in the northeast.

Throttle cable seems fine, when I took it off the throttle body it didn't seem to be sticky. Throttle body also seems to operate smoothly, it just takes a lot of pressure to open it.

If you ever want to sell them let me know, as you can see from my signature I wish I still had them.
