Back again.
Ever since I installed my 16T, after vacuum or startup, when I hit the gas a lot of oil comes out the exhaust. I pretty sure it is something to with the turbo. Any ideas as to what this is before I pull the turbo to take a closer look?
I'm hoping this has to do with me still only being able to make 7psi. The only reason why I think not is that I was never able to make more than about 9psi with my old 13G. Since ive got retunes, new turbo, new lines, vacuum and intercooler, and bov......I think the boost problem lies within the intercooler or a sensor.
But any ideas on the turbo would be helpful. After boosting you can smell burning oil in the cabin...

Was this turbo rebuilt or is it just a used unit. Either way, it sounds like one or more of the seals are worn out or where not replaced correctly and is leaking oil into your exhaust.

Any play on the shaft and does it spin freely?
Did you pressure cheak the system and look for leaks?

Smoke or oil comes out of the tailpipe?

Regardless as to whether your turbo is second hand or rebuilt, the dynamic seal is shot. I'm thinking you have other issues too, though. I've had plenty of smokin' turbos still give me 12-15 p.s.i. Bad charge air hoses, cracked i/c, collapsing intake airhose. Something ain't right.

Anyway, it comes out of the pipe and it leaks on the turbo were the tube from the intake connects.
