What kind of stance do you mean?
Mine is not lowered or anything, although i'm planning to in the future.

I want to get 18's just because they look great, but they are slightly more expensive, as are their tires.
However, i have seen/heard about bending 18's because they have a smaller tire profile, or stressing the sidewalls.
I don't have any extra money to spend on the rims in terms of maitenance. Is it worth getting 18's?
Also please correct me if im wrong about any of this.

ps not sure if it makes a difference, but im talking about pegs

since no1 really addressed your concerns ...

- you bend any wheel when ur sidewalls are not the right height and/or your tires are low

- side wall stress isnt an issue

- yes its worth getting them simply because if you get 17's and dont like em you'll be unhappy

--- i have 18x8" OZ rally wheels , i am currently runnin Nitto ZR 225/40/18 on the drive wheels --- personally i need to go wider --- i run those tires at 40 psi (51 is max psi rating) --- i have no issues and find my handling has improved --- i drive on many bumpy crappy roads and corner fast but i haven't bottomed the wheels or rolled the sidewall --- also , 18" pegs weigh 28 lbs and my OZs weigh 17.5 lbs --- less rotating mass means more power to the ground --- i think pegs are pretty heavy and pricey , but they sure do look good B) , lol

--- get the 18's - you wont regret it

haha i appreciate your diligence. Good information.
At this point i think i'm just going to wait until winters over, and then buy new rims and tires. During that time i can do some research. Can you send me a link to where you got your rims?
I'd like to check'em out.

- side wall stress isnt an issue
My dads 18's sidewall's bubbled out twice from driving over moderately shitty roads we have around here.
Not sure if thats what you thought i meant.

hmm , about ur dads tires - i've never had that prob , but i've never gone slimmer then 40's

there's no link to my rims , they dont make mine anymore haha , but i'm pretty sure that if you go to OZs site you can find ones they currently make that fit

or u can buy mine for 3k ;)

I went with 17s for the simple fact that the roads around here are crap!
I didn't want to have a heart attack everytime I hit a blemish in the road.
Also...if I had went with 18s I would never ever let anyone else drive my car...maybe not a bad thing tho, hah.

some pics..

Side note: 17s will look better on a car that is not lowered. 18s look funny on stock height in my opinion.
When my car was stock height it looked o.k. Obviously much better lower tho.

Do you have any more plain and simple side shots?
Man, if i could start over i would definitely get a white T5.
They look so poking clean!

I'm still on the fence, but thanks for the input, especially because i've thought about lowering it.

I can't tel the diff between Propus and Tritons. What am I missing?

I do like those, very much, which ever I'm looking at! :D
