My car is in tha shop right now and my mechanic is cutting approx 1 inch off my "kilen Sport Springs" which should lower it a total of 2.6in. I've been riding on my lowered springs for tha past year and have had this crazy itch lately to see how much lower i can get it while still being able to turn the wheels lol. I have H&R spacers in right now and they will be removed today cos there is no way i can lower it 2.6in with the wheels so flushed out, even with my fenders rolled to tha max! Im so stoked to see how it turns out and ill post pics up as soon as i can.

And yes i know exactly how it feels to drive a car on cut springs. Some of my friends have done it with Integras and Civics and such. If its way too stiff or bouncy ill juss buy another set of Kilens or B&Gs.

This is how low the car sits now...

damn if thats going to drop it another 2.6in....that will be one hot looking car B)

imho cut lowering springs dont actually ride too bad, its the cut stock springs that are teh shittyness.

How mch of the spring is he cutting off? in coils, ie. half a coil, full coil etc...?

You're going to hate your life.

Volvo springs are much different than Honda springs. But good luck!

i agree, i love cars on their nuts, hence why my next set of wheels are 16s lol.

i really dont think you will get more than a couple inches out of a full coil.

I rode on cut B&G/Kilen rear springs for a short while, the car handled like crap, it looked great though.

Yea those are Kilen springs in the 1st pic. So heres what happened. He took half a coil out the back and told me due to the structure or sumthin or the front springs he cant cut it. So with the front springs back on the car, he torched the coil till it started compressing under the weight of the car. He told me they will stay like that cos i asked if they would raise up when it cooled down but nah its perfect!
And now the pics....

And the ride quality is still great. I was so surprised. She handles like a champ and tha only difference is its more bouncy then before but thats so worth it haha.

Not "Slammed" by any means, but looks good.

Thumbs down for torching the springs though, definitely damages the integrity.

You can cut them, but you have to reshape the end of the spring to fit again. More work, but most likely less bounce.

^i was thinking the same. not really any lower than the IPD springs.

its probably a good thing you didnt go much lower. because as IPD-lucky stated, the driveshafts are really hurting after 2"
my 854T5 with a nice list of mods was totaled by a dumb girl driver :(
