There was a general revision in 02 where the Magnetti Marelli ETM was swapped to a Bosch, The thermostat housing became angled and many sensors were altered.
Is the way to tell if the car has the "improved" box by seeing if the ETM is Bosch or MM?
Just wondering as I swapped a Dec 01 (MM ETM) engine for a early 02 (Bosch) unit on mine. Externally the gearbox appeared to be exactly the same.
