well i was driven on the Michigan interstate system (it sucks) an i hit one hell of a bump, i think i bottomed out, but when i did this i saw all of my needles on my gauge cluster drop, an than come back up, but none of the lights died... what couldve happened... should i be concerned?

Did you look the car over? Anything act weird afterwards?

Yea, this has happened to me before, and to most of my buddies with e46's.
You bottomed out, the needles dropped but the lights stayed on.
Since your car did not loose power from the battery, the lights did NOT turn off.
It shouldn't be a huge deal.
Just get under there and see if you have any scratches on things like rear spring perches, and control arms, subframe, et cetera, that will tell you where to look for broken things.

Sounds like someone should be investing in a skid plate :rolleyes: .

Your more then likely fine. I had the wheel of my 850 fall off when I was doing 40 MPH and the only damage was to the fender. I got lucky I think.

HOW does that happen? Something break, or what?

I've thought about lowering my car, and would like to, but the roads here suck ass. All it takes is one of those big dips coming out of a construction zone to destroy everything. It's bad enough in a car with stock suspension.

dealer didn't tighten the bolts and the steering started to shake when i was doing 65.. thank goodness i pulled over.

he is far lower than the normal lowering springs will take you. look at some of his pictures i think he has about 2 inches or so clearance.
