Finally got around to installing the Wilwood BBK kit on my 95 T5-R.
Some more pictures, late night, dark out, dirty, but you still get the idea.
Also did stainless steel lines at the same time.

Fitment and install:
Great and super easy. Hardest part of course was removing the old brake lines...
Fit great under the 18" Pegs.
DO NOT FIT under my 17" Winter Titans. Require 5mm spacers at a minimum.
Look:
Well, you can see for yourself...HAWT
Performance:
As this is my DD, I'm not exactly stressing the limits of braking on a daily basis, but I have to say, the difference in modulation is outstanding over stock. The peddle feel just fills me with confidence. I've "Tested" a few simulated hard stops from 40-50mph, and they have zero fade coupled with a good eye pulling sensation. Obviously, long term performance I will reserve judgement on, but I'm suspecting, as I use them year round, I'll be "rebuilding" once a year to maintain good performance. (This kit DOESN'T have boots)
Price:
Even with potentially having to rebuild these once a year, this price is awesome for this whole kit. Well worth it as a DD brake upgrade.

Love em...

Hawt! What are you planning to run for winter wheels? Didn't you have 17x8" R reps? Those should clear the BBKs being 1" wider than the Titans.

This is my kit. Worst part is that is they noisy like a bus sometimes, poor pad to caliper fit to much free play. Caliper could be a litter bigger but it stops great . Locked wheels at 90 MPH , that was emergency.
Total with new s60r rotors $300. That part I like

I sold the Peg reps, kept the Titans that came with Yarth...I've got them shod with winters already to go...just waiting on the spacers from IPD...should be here by the weekend.

ya ya.
Well, they don't. Even with a 3mm adapter it's waaaay to close for comfort. And if you have proper inside wheel wieghts installed, 5mm spacers make it tight.

I'm thinking about these caliper, with smaller disc like 305mm instead, as they don't use all the disc area and should fit behind Titan without spacers.

I'll be "rebuilding" once a year to maintain good performance. (This kit DOESN'T have boots)

Does it mean there is no boots on the pistons ?

I have the same calipers front and rear kit. With pads provided with the calipers i have some awfull braking noises, i replace them by racing wilwood pads. Now really less noisy but still noisy when cold for the 3 or 4 stops, after it is ok.I fit some 17*7.5 BBS & i have 6 mm spacers to deal with the 330 mm discs.

Yes, no boots on the pistons.

Interesting, I'm not having any noise issues at all yet. Did the noise develop over time?

fitting over volans?

No clue, but my guess would be super tight over 330mm rotors

Before mounting bbk Comet 17*7 where fitted on my car but when we first try to fit the bbk set, it would have need at least 10 mm or perpahps 15 mm spacers. It was due to the inside shape of the wheel, the bbs are straight from center to outside or nearly when comet are "curved" . i don't remember how is the inside of volans.

Noises appears after less than 500 km

I think it is due to the pads position, there is 1 mm of pads that did not cover the disc, so after few times it made a little lip on each pad.

I try to drill this lip on the first set of pad but i did not try to fit them since then.

I wonder if there is a boot kit for those calipers, no dust boots with our sort of weather conditions is a major bummer IMO.
Looks pretty sweet though, nice to have some sort of upgrade with 18's.

You'd better check with a pattern, but I really doubt with 330mm dics.

They definitely are improvement over stock, and I know these are a relative bargain, but the reduced contact area would bug the crap out of me. Porsche setup fully covers surface area in the front & rear - with no noise at all - no protruding lip on the pads.

those calipers were not meant for that rotor, you have what maybe 20mm of non contact?!

wont work I already tired <_<

So ?

You can buy 2 peice rotors that will work for about 1k so if it matters that much go right ahead

or this also

As you can see here most of the space that would be normal rotor is now aluminum hat.
I am using the volvo rotors just due to cost you can get a aluminum hat one and have it cover the whole rotor but then your price would just a good bit.

It just means a bit less pads area, a bit less effective than the Porsche BBK.

Wich is still way better than stock calipers. ;)

What would be the optimal size for the Wilwoods if 330mm is too large and 305mm won't fit?

There is a rotor manufacturer in London, ON that makes blanks for various Volvos from 280mm to 320mmm (XC90) at a reasonable price. Perhaps if there is enough interest you might want to sell a kit containing the Wilwoods and matched-sized rotors that will fit 17" wheels without spacers - mainly for the advantage of running 17" i.e. smaller rotors for less unsprung(?) weight and cost, more compliant ride, winter wheels, etc. I would be interested if there was such a kit for a reasonable price.
