I've been wondering about this since we got the car preowned wiht about 28k miles on it. It now has almost 75k and it's still doing the same thing is always has.
At idle, every now and then it will "stumble". It almost feels like what I would describe as the turbo dumping boost. It's less noticable while driving but at slow speeds it will sometimes do the same thing. Another way to describe it is, it feels like it's missing on 2-3 cylinders for a quick second.
Never has thrown any codes and the dealer has never found anything and it otherwise runs great! This is just something it's always done and I found odd.
Any ideas?

Thoroughly check all vacuum lines. If you have a leak, it will cause what you are describing. I had the same thing that got so bad it finally did throw a code, but not until the hole was large and the car was stalling out.

Might be your A/C kicking on and off, see if it happens with the A/C off.

Thanks everyone.
It's been very consistant for the last 3 years and about 45k-50k miles. I'd think if it were a vaccuum leak ot would have gotten worse over time.
Also, it does it whether the A/C is on or not.
I'll keep looking and check for vaccuum leaks because, you never know!

You are due for a cap and rotor, I'd do the plugs if they haven't been done at 60K.

Chances are it is your ECM. I can;t for the life of me find that link that it was on, but it affected 70 series users, with certain mode engine chassis numbers or some such, hopefully someone can find that out
Good luck, I still have my problem because the option to get my ecm flashed was 150 or something, which is weak.
