13.7 with upper IC hose coming off just after the 1000' mark, only mods were Quaife LSD, 3" Downpipe, and Base 17psi ST chip

Best run is a 13.27 @ 106mph with a 2.0 60' on street tires

I am. Emptied out 850 with a custom ECU and 19T and its running 14s.... Thats bad.

Nice increase in trap speed from the 1/8 thru the 1/4...
But, why are you hiding the ET?
Your not trying to maintain your street racing hustle, are you?

16T, IPD off the shelf tune, OBX (no cat), MBC @ 17psi., 91 octanez, trunk FULL of shit, auto trans. Ran a 14.6 that night too, MPH on the 14.6 was .2 faster.

Now here's someone smart enough to compare similar cars. lol. :D

I'm short of that slip by ~2mph. My compressor side is slightly larger, yet I'm running less boost than your run. Weight probably comes out to be the same, seeing as how I'm in a 7-passenger wagon and not a sedan.

As I thought...I'm off, but not that far off. The only person who seems to think so really wants some attention, it looks like. Here you go:

WOW Che! You're INCREDIBLE!!! Your car is SO FAST!!! OMG OMG OMG!!! I'm not worthy! Please, continue to make fun of my car because it's not as fast as yours was!!!!! Maybe someday I can blow my engines up just like you!!!!!

The 19T should more than make up for the missing 1psi.

There is definitely something off, most likely something to do with cam timing.

I would bet that my car on that run would have an easy 100lbs on you even though your roof is longer. I had a full size spare, jack, amp, 2 10" subs in an old box that weighed at least 60lbs total, all kinds of tools and other random shit.

All I've been trying to say is that if you can't get more speed out of that setup swap back to a 15G/16T just for safety. If your building a 240 I'd slap the 19T on that.

ET's can change drastically based on traction and a bunch of other factors but trap speed will still be very close.

Dude, your car is fucked up. Fix it or don't I really do not care. I'm just telling you that something is wrong that's probably simple and would allow you to go a lot faster. If you want to be a window licker thats your business.

No $hit, Sherlock! I know the cam timing is buggered.

I'd say she still did pretty well, especially considering how badly buggered the cam timing is! I guess you're just the "glass is half empty" type. So be it.

I'll head over to my old Volvo store and borrow the tool to start from 0 again when I feel like messing with it. For now, she gets me from point A to point B. Time to start working on the track car again.

PS, what kind of in/hg vac are you N'A cam guys getting at idle?

That has been the story of my life with my Volvo and seems to be for "many" others . I did everything!! new 18T, then a new WG actuator 12 months later, 10psi HD IPD CBV spring, FMIC, 3 different MBCs, Checked the Turbo for cracks, Checked to see that my cat was not plugged, new intake mani, Pressure tests, smoke tests ect ect and never could hold boost. I would set my car at 20psi and fall to 13-14psi everytime. So good luck!!!

I'm in the exact same boat! Lol. I've put on a straight 7cm housing, cams, r manifold, 3" turbo back exhaust with no cat, a new wg actuator from ATP turbo, fmic, bigger intake piping from Hussein, a greddy profec-b spec 2 and then finally a ported and polished 6cm straight housing...all of that just so I can hold 15psi to redline lol.
The name's Ben: '95 850, m56 w/ gripper lsd, SBC feramic clutch, built '02 RN 2.3L, worked '04 R head, Enem Y21 cams, Precision 5857B, ARD tune, blah blah blah
Big Will:your car is the most raw, awesome Volvo I've ever driven....mine is just shinier
Wingnut: Of course jewfro vs. gingerbreadman wrestling is mandatory entertainment.

These cars are cursed or something...I don't have any of these issues with my redblocks, but it seems no matter what changes I make, the 850 is never happy. Don't get me wrong - she's great to drive, runs well, sounds nice - but she just isn't as fast as I want her to be. Oh well.

14.0 is decent, but I really wanted over 100mph, and being so close to 13's without getting there is a cock tease. :(

Damn I wish I had gotten a 14.0 lol. My best was a 14.4 but I was trapping over 101 each pass and pulled a 103 on the last pass I made that day( 4 passes total).

I'm idling at 19-20 in/hg. When my cam timing was whacked I was idling at like 15 though. What's yours at right now??

I need to hook up another gauge and check...I don't trust the digital. I'm gonna be digging into the 850 again in a week or two. But the T3/T4 into the 244 is the priority. Looking for 12's next month.

I would do a high pressure boost leak test as well. I tested mine to 30psi and had to tighten a bunch of t-bolts....I would've gone higher but the Home Depot fitting blew off my mafs and I almost got beamed in the face  . It's usually stupid stuff that is the issue.

Still about the same...15-16 pee es eyes. Car just feels a lot smoother now and feels really tight. I had 4 people in it on the way to the track last weekend plus tools and a trunk full of crap and I was getting 28mpg on the highway lol.

I figured all my ish out. Car is running stronger now than ever. I'm sure it's quicker than the old best of 14.0 @ 98.5, and that's back on the 15G too! :D

Been spending a lot of time on the 244, so I'm not sure when I'll get back to the track in the 850...but she's pulling pretty well! ;)

I'm taking the 244 to the 1/8 mile next Thurs. I'm looking for 7.9-8.3's.

The issue with the 850 - well, I accidentally installed a compressor housing that was bored out for a 60-trim wheel (this shop builds frankenstien TD04 60-trims). But I had a 19T wheel. There was a gap of nearly 2.5mm along the radius of the compressor inlet between the compressor wheel and the housing! :(

As it was explained to me, I was probably moving about 200 CFM less than I should have been (around the same as a 13C!). Installing the 15G again picked up a lot of power. I got the correct compressor housing now, but I'm putting the 19T on the 244 instead. I want 12's.
