They are bolted on with the stock lug bolts, tighten on evenly by hand and it bolts up nice and flush on the hub then just torqued down really really tight, works fine, i recheck them very often and i have yet to find a slightly loose lug bolt, no shake anywhere all the way up to 100mph, they are hub centric so i dont have to worry about centering the wheels on the lugs.

the benz wheels are 5x112.

I think the reason you were able to do this is because the log bolts for the benz must be 14mm or bigger while the 870 cars use a 12mm so the bolt is actually slightly smaller than the hole it is going through and allows side to side adjustment enough to act like wobble bolts and allow them to bolt right up. I have a feeling with the p2 bolts being 14mm that I couldn't bolt those on my car without getting adapters.

you are correct, my volvo lug bolts are smaller than the benz ones.

a bit of an update, had a long day at work, stayed after to work on my car till about 10 oclock, got some stuff done.

Pissed off that my koni yellows still arent here yet i assumed i probally wont see them before davis so i ripped out the bilstiens and did some diy coilovers, i have nothing to lose, these struts have been taking a beating on the cut springs already and to my suprise they are still holding up pretty well.

Same procedure as koni diy coil overs except a bit more has to be ground on the top lip of the strut housing as you can see in the pics.

out with the old
Posted Image

this needs to be ground down just slightly
Posted Image

then of course cut and grind the spring perch off...and viola!
Posted Image

after a pressure wash and some paint
Posted Image

jesus that is a gap
dindt bother moddifing or making the upper mount on this setup, it will work fine like this till i get my konis for the real setup.
Posted Image

money shot B)
Posted Image

uh oh too low for those tires, picking up the 205/40s tommorow, then winding them all the way down.
Posted Image

too much tire in front but it sits better, flush for sure
Posted Image

tinted the fog lights, and mounted them (no pics tho, was in a hurry)
Posted Image

threw the bumper on, still need to do a few things in that department....damn fender liners.
Posted Image

getting down there, hope to alot lower with the new tires, might even need a skid plate
Posted Image

god im so used to volkswagens where this picture would be proving how NOT low i am
Posted Image

Customer grenaded the dif in the m66, still waiting on the new tranny, customer threw a spec stage 1 at me to toss in while its apart.
Posted Image
Posted Image

tore apart the m66, havent pulled the diff yet but the rest of the tranny apears ago, lots of metal shavings came out of the oil tho. Will be getting a quaife soon B)

and thats it so far, pocket called just at 1:30am his time...that was funny

i am using Bilstien Tourings, going by the 2 pics i have of tourings and HDs i would think it would work, might even be less work since it doesnt have that top lip, but still the main tube could be bigger.

Nice. By the pics the tubes don't look like they're different sizes. After the swap and everything I'm going to look into this. Glad to see someone doing it on something other than the Konis.
