I have a 1994 850 turbo sport wagon (bone stock) that is in need of a brake job. Since the brakes need tobe replaced anyhow, it seems like a good time to upgrade them.
I'd like to hear suggestions on upgrades and parts sources for the recommendations if you guys don't mind.
Thanks,
Chuck

Charles.. I'd try searching through the FWD maintenance forum.. there is tons of info there on Brakes and Braking systems/components. Chances are you'll find lots of great information and reading material there.

I buy Brembo rotors from FCPGroton. $43 each for front. You can use slotted but pay more. I always used OEM pads. Make sure you bleed with fresh DOT4 brake fluid. My brakes work real good.
Some folks do other stuff: race calipers special pads etc. You might wait for their comments.

Since the 850 has a tendancy to go through brake pad and rotors relatively often, I am content using the cheap stuff. Zimmerman rotors and PBR pads. Works very well out of the box, and I don't cry if I have to replace either within 18 months.

Zimmerman or Brembo rotors
PBR Deluxe pads
ATE DOT4+ brake fluid, alternately blue or amber every two years.
