Very simple, pretty good idea of how to here - I'm about to go through this as well.

Newbie question here but which is the better wattage 35 or 55? Is it a matter of the car (meaning they are specific to the car model and stock housings/wirings) or is it just preference?

Thanks!

35 is the normal HID power, 55 is a lot brighter

I got the Apexcone 8k 55watt. I went from seeing nothing at night to everything. They are in the stock housings and I haven't been flashed once in the 3 months they have been in.

Your car looks really nice, but...Just because you haven't been flashed, that doesn't mean you have a decent and safe set-up. From pic #2, that's a blue mess if i ever saw one. Please, at least get projectors to sort that out. And, you WILL get more usable light from a lower temp bulb. It's a fact.

Every time I drive at night, I love my 4300k HID's more and more. The e-codes make things a bit risky, as they put a decent amount of light "up and away". Still love 'em to pieces though
