But by how much? I mean, really you cant just say that because the wheel is bigger it WILL flow more.

Well if a 19T at its "MAX" gets maybe 290ish whp with FWD, then a K24 that gets 308AWHP or around 320+WHP(fWHP) is out flowing it by 30whp http://www.streetfir...urbo_199778.htm! Its a bigger Turbo and has ETT which also is a big bonus! All the new BW Turbos are using the ETT and are out flowing Garret GT R Turbos at the same size and PSI!

I'm sorry but you have no idea how the tunes differ. I will not just accept some dyno vids of unknown origins. Regardless of wheel size, wheel design plays a much bigger roll in flow.

For example, when you stuff a new wheel into a turbo it isn't always bigger. But the design is different.

While we all assume the K24 flows more than the 19t there really is no hard proof, as of now at least.

Again the K24 is a bigger Turbo, Bigger wheel with "ETT", so it only makes proper common sense to realize what Turbo out flows. 96R 16T, 99R 18T, 00R 19T, 04R K24. Every Turbo out performed the last!

Well look at the bright side of that vid, a K24 can get 308awhp and 364trq to the ground. That would easily be 320+whp and even more trq to the ground with a FWD. Im sending my head out to make sure it flows as much as it can to let the engine breath as much as possible.

True, but you're also comparing a 2.5L to a 2.3L.

The 16t and the 18t weren't far from each other IIRC. And you can't just assume that since each one out flowed the last that it dictates everything from now until forever. It is a completely different MFR.

I dont think a 2.3 with proper head work and supporting mods would be any less (or not much of) than S60R stage 2 with a Stock K24!

BS! From a guy that has seen both on the dyno on the same car, the 16T vs 18T is about 20-30whp. I had both on my car and the difference in power was pretty dam big! Boglin went from mid 14s with a 16T, to a 13.83 with just an 18T on the same tune!

yea dude those are just @ 2PR .. some of those turbos actually flow MORE than that

15g is closer to 440cfm(G series does better up top than T series for that size compressor wheel)
16t is like 450cfm so eh

18t is around 500cfm
19t around 550+cfm
16g6 is around 620cfm in the small stock housing, throw on a 17c housing and it changes things a bit.

20g is good for near 700cfm

Still a 50cfm difference.

Going by CFM its not a huge difference i agree. But, no matter what its enough to have a 30whp difference, as most 16T vs 18T dynos show. If the K24 has that over a 19T which i dont doubt it does, then i think 30whp or more over a 19T should be accurate. If you look at the Shots that Spanky took of the 19T vs the K24 in size, theres a good size difference.http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php/topic/127133-k24-turbo-question/page__st__40

Even if you have two wheels of the same size except one is a ETT it will out perform as the alot of guys that are using BW ETTT turbos are seeing all over the country!

You would think KKK would have Flow charts for the Volvo K24? I might try contacting head office and see what i can find.
