The seat memory in my dads car was not work so we got a new module for it. Put it in, still not work. So I tested the memory on my seat (working) pulled the module put it in my dads car, and not working. And it is not the switches causing it not to work, because those were just replaced w/ fully tested working ones too. So how do I fix the memory for him? I am stumped, I figure a wiring thing but dont know where to start.

PLEASE more help... like any ideas or a wiring diagram of the wires that run from the computer to the motors to activate movement based on the memory.

Todd, when I was switching the brackets from my T5R seat to the V70R seats, I noticed that the computer to the motors only went through a short distance of wires. As you probably know from replacing these parts, the switches to to the computer that lies below the seat (little black box), and that in turn goes to the motors (also below the seat). Those are the only things involved in seat memory. Everything you're working on should be in plain view.
So, you're saying the seats adjust, they just don't hold memory. How is memory stored in the seats anyway? Is it flash memory or is it memory like in a radio? If it's flash memory, we can scratch the problem being a constant power feed issue. If it's radio type memory, then maybe you lost a constant power source to the seat memory box.
Other than that, I'm having a hard time guessing what the issue is, since you said the switch isn't the problem (though it probably wouldn't hurt to put your switches in his car to test them for completeness).

Our '95 T-5R has the same problem on both sides. Seats work in all axis' but when you press any or all of the memory function buttons all you hear is a click of a relay somewhere.
The seats do have a constant power feed, I've checked them and they are fine.
Over on the brickboard I've found an elaborate proceedure for calibrating the volvo memory seats, but have not yet tried it.
I'm not wondering if my seat modules lost power at some point (a battery change), and lost their memory of home or position limit stops.

It is not the switchs, tryed switching those. and yes it is only a very short amount of wire. Other than that... I dont know. I dont know about how the memory is stored, I have little idea as to how computers and electronics stuff works. I dont see how recalabrating would help, cause I dont really understand what would need to be recalabrated when I switched the whole computer.

I haven't helped much here cause I'd need a schematic and a meter and my hands on your car. Sorry. Just to be sure, to set memory in the seat you adjust the seat to the position you want then you hold down one of the numbers(1) and memory at the same time. Then move the seat back and down or up and away, to something other than what you have stored in memory, now to get back to the memory position you push down 1 and hold it until the seat finishes the movement.
