Insurance assesor is coming having a look Tuesday, should know something next week....keep your fingers crossed.

On the bad side, I'd booked a few days off next week to get some more work done on it and now I can't start anything just incase they do write it off.

Very sad news man. Hopefully you'll get your money's worth.

BTW, you never got back to me with a shipping quote on TB. I think I'm going a different direction now but thanks anyway.

Ok, insurance have deemed it a write off, not sure what category yet but either way the project may well be dead. Now just waiting for them to get back to me with a better offer than the £800 they tried to give me today. Replacement car is coming Monday and will be an 850R, has a poorly engine at the moment but hopefully it's nothing too drastic.

BUMMER BIG TIME! One of the sharpest 90's I have seen and yu put a LOT of work into her.
Any chance of pulling and selling that grill? I would LOVE to see that on my V90!

Spoke to the insurance and realised I was wasting my time, the assesors would only value the car at £869, when I mentioned all the work and mods they asked for receipts for all the stuff on it, being as a lot was bought second hand and other stuff was made by myself they said that it would take a looong time to try and work out what it was actualy worth. After a bit of a discussion with the Mrs I decided to take their offrer and to also buy the car back from them for the measily price of £25!!. Still waiting for the cheque off the insurers, in the mean time I have to renew the road tax on either this or the replacement 850R which I've been repairing this weekend, hoping to get the new car on the road so I can start dismantling the 960.

Well the 850R is very nearly finished, just waiting on a water pump and a timing belt, after that the 960 will be meeting it's end. Tried to sell it whole a few times now and had no interest at all so it will be getting broken and whatever's left will be sold for scrap.

I would be interested in the front bumper and the grill and the transmission.

Let me know

If it was in the US and a left hand drive I would snag it. I can't believe that no one wants this one??? I own both the V90 and a 745 Turbo and love the 6 cylinder 960/S/V90's but many other Volvo guys just seem to ignore them. I hit you before on snagging that that grill by PM if you part her yell as it would really look great on my V90. It would be quite a shame to break that one down as that is WAY too nice to scrap!

Had little to no interest in parts so I'll try and break it, sadly there is only one grill so I'll have to look back and see who asked me first. I don't mind posting the bumper but wouldn't the shipping on the gearbox make it really expensive?.

Ok, price wise I was looking for £150 for the transmission, do you want me to price up the shipping on it?...Would need an address and zip code so I can get a quote.

I'd want at least £200 for the bumper as there was a hell of a lot of hard work went into making it (as you've all seen).
