i took my car in for an allignment and they said they were unable to do one because one of the delta link bushings was missing (!?) they estimated about $225 w/ labor to replace it.

so, since i have way more time than i do money, i'm wondering if it's feasible for me to do this job myself. i'm something of a beginner, but i'm aiming to learn how to take care of as many maintenance/repair aspects of this car as possible. last week i changed the front strut mount bushings and the swaybar link rods - it was challenging, but i managed. i have a hydraulic floor jack, 2 jack stands, torque wrench, and a decent set of metric wrenches and assorted tools.

i'm tempted to just take it in and get it over with, but i wanted to see if anyone here knows how hard it would be for me to do, especially if someone has experience replacing one of these bushings and might know some tips or shortcuts. for instance, i'm assuming i'll only have to remove the delta link assembly on one side, but i'm not sure. also, i haven't seen this bushing listed on any of the online stores - anyone have a part #?

i'd appreciate any insights, thanks.

Since it's a suspension bushing, I'm assuming it'll have to be pressed into this place. $225 for the bushing with labor seems reasonable, but I remember looking up prices for the bushing and the part alone was pretty price... like $200 something. Maybe I was looking at a different bushing, but either way it seems like something a shop should do, since you're a beginner in the maintenance deal.
