THis just happend today:

boost now will not go over 3-4psi no matter what gear, even flooring...(i posted about a month ago that this happend before but it went away)

i pulled all the codes:

A2: 2-3-1

b1: 4-1-7

b2: 1-2-2

from my turbo guage there doesnt seem to be a vacuum leak, since at high way coasting, the guage reads 23-24 on the vacuum...

but it just wont let hte car boost past 3-4psi...is this some kind of safe mode?

Yea, it sounds like the O2 safety. I had the same thing happen when my front O2 went. I don't know what the codes you threw were, but just from the symptom...
